Leonie's Circle

Saturday, Aug 14, 2010

Lepnie is a bright natured middle aged woman. She suffered a head injury while young and is bipolar. When we met Leonie six months ago she was new to Palmerston North, her closest friend lived in another centre and she was isolated from her daughter and grandchildren.

Six months after beginning Circle work with Leonie and focusing on how she could form friendships she has been invited to neighbourhood barbeques and is motivated to start her own craft micro-business. A neighbour has even commissioned Leonie for a craft piece. All this has helped Leonie's self esteem so much that she was able to work things out with her daughter and can now be the grandmother she craved to be!

Leonie has recently joined a coffee group and the group has suggested a card evening for the near future.
